Toggle views
A “toggle” is a per-sequencer on/off flag set from a Launchpad cell. The toggles on this page switch a whole sequencer into or out of something: a shared knob, the autodrop cycle, or the chord progression.
There are three: the mod-wheel toggle, the autodrop-eligibility toggle, and the chord-progression toggle. All three live on the meta sequencers (sequencer 8 / sequencer 16).
Mod-wheel toggle (view 8.3)
What it does: Enables or disables shared mod-wheel (CC1) broadcast for that sequencer. One LaunchControl knob (LC8 knob 2) is fanned out to every sequencer whose toggle is on.
Where it lives. View 8.3, on both LPs of both players: row 8 of the LHS LP is one cell per sequencer 1–7, row 8 of the RHS LP one cell per sequencer 9–15. Sequencers 8 and 16 have no mod-wheel routing and stay dark.
What you see. Off is slate grey, on is medium blue. Every other cell on the view stays dark.
Edit gestures: Press the pad to flip it. Either player can edit any sequencer; both LPs update immediately.
Behaviour: The change applies on the next outgoing CC1 frame, so turning a sequencer on mid-phrase picks up the knob’s current position rather than waiting for you to move it.
Autodrop eligibility toggle (view 8.1)
What it does: Marks a sequencer (or the TR-8 drum bus) as eligible to receive autodrops. Autodrops are the temporary mute/CC/note fills described in Autodrops; this toggle is the per-sequencer opt-in.
Where it lives: Row 8 of view 8.1. LHS cols 1–7 are synth sequencers 1–7; RHS cols 1–4 are sequencers 9–12; RHS cols 5–6 both toggle the TR-8, whose main and alt banks share one eligibility setting. Other cells on the same view drive autodrop cues for individual rows and TR-8 voices, described in Autodrops.
What you see. Off is dark, on is that sequencer’s own colour.
Edit gestures: Press the pad to flip it.
Behaviour: A sequencer switched off is skipped by automatic autodrop cycles, silently and with no feedback of its own. Manual cues still fire regardless, whether from this view’s rows 5–7 or from the LC bottom row, so turning eligibility off does not lock a sequencer out of a drop you ask for by hand.
Chord progression toggle (view 11)
What it does: Per-sequencer “follow chord progression” switch. With the toggle on, the sequencer’s pitches follow the global chord progression, the root note and the inversion. With it off, the sequencer plays its own untransposed pitches.
Where it lives: Row 1 of view 11. LHS cols 1–7 are sequencers 1–7; RHS cols 1–7 are sequencers 9–15. Sequencers 8 and 16 (cols 8) have no CP toggle and stay dark. The view also holds the chord-root strip (row 8) and the scale-mode pads (RHS rows 7–8 cols 7–8), both covered in Chords and scales.
What you see. Off is slate grey, on is that sequencer’s own colour.
Edit gestures: Press the pad to flip it.
Behaviour: It is a plain on/off switch, and it takes effect on the next note that sequencer plays. Notes already sounding are not re-pitched.
