Bottom row

The LC bottom row primarily controls sequencer autodrops. The full autodrop reference is Autodrops. This page documents the non-autodrop functions that the same buttons expose when a modifier is held.

Button layout

The LC bottom row has 7 sequencer buttons, one per column, matching the top mute row. They are labelled here as the autodrop buttons for sequencer 1–7 (U1/U3/U5 templates) or sequencer 9–15 (U2/U4/U6 templates). The eighth button in the row is not a sequencer: it is the 8B modifier (see LaunchControl modifier buttons).

Non-Autodrop Functions

When a modifier is held while pressing a bottom-row button, the autodrop action is replaced:

LC modifier held Bottom row action
(none) Autodrop cue (see Autodrops)
SHIFT Decrement sequencer octave for that column’s seq (down to −4). Tap repeatedly to step down.
MUTE Decrement keyboard octave for that column’s seq (down to 0).
REC ARM 16-bar autodrop cue (autodrop fires and lasts a full 16-bar cycle)

These functions mirror the top-row modifier behaviour but in the downward direction: SHIFT/MUTE on top row increment, SHIFT/MUTE on bottom row decrement.

Octave ranges

Octave type Range
Sequencer octave −4 to +4
Keyboard (jam kbd) octave 0 to +8

LED colours

Bottom-row LED colours reflect the sequencer autodrop state, using the same colours as the top row:
