Trig

Purpose

The central editing surface and default view for every sequencer. Write which steps fire, set per-step percentage chance, conditional (mod/inv-mod) and sustain trigs, overlay Euclidean patterns, and set each row’s play mode (UNMUTED / LEGATO / DRONE / MUTED).

Interaction

8 rows (row 1 bottom → row 8 top) × 16 steps: LHS LP columns 1–8 are steps 1–8, RHS columns 1–8 are steps 9–16. Each cell’s colour shows its trig status (OFF, ON, PERCENTAGE_CHANCE, TRIGMUTE, MOD1–MOD16, INVMOD4–INVMOD16, sustain). LHS column 9 is the row mute button for each row. Hold an LC modifier and press a step to write the corresponding status; with no modifier a press toggles OFF ↔ ON.

Shortcuts

Step editing (LP columns 1–8, LHS + RHS)

Gesture Where Action Modifiers
Press LP grid Toggle OFF ↔ ON (TRIGMUTE → ON; sustain steps break first) none
SHIFT + press LP grid Toggle PERCENTAGE_CHANCE (chance level set per-sequencer via LC knob) shift
MUTE + press LP grid Toggle TRIGMUTE (force-silence the step) mute
SOLO + press, twice LP grid Sustain region: first press = start, second press = end (wraps across bar end) solo
REC ARM + press LP grid Cycle mod division: OFF → MOD1 → MOD2 → MOD4 → MOD8 → MOD16 → OFF rec_arm
8A + press LP grid Inverse mod: → INVMOD4 (MOD8 → INVMOD8, MOD16 → INVMOD16); press again converts back to MOD 8a
8B + press LP grid Euclidean overlay: pressed step = rotation point; same step again toggles the row’s Euclidean off 8b
SHIFT + MUTE + press LP grid Reset row: all 16 steps → OFF, Euclidean pattern cleared shift+mute
SHIFT + SOLO + press LP grid Randomise row: random-density trig fill shift+solo

Row mute buttons (LP column 9, LHS only)

Gesture Where Action Modifiers
Press Row mutes Instant toggle row MUTED ↔ UNMUTED none
SHIFT + press Row mutes Row autodrop cue (muted row comes in / active row drops out, auto-reverts) shift
MUTE + press Row mutes Toggle DRONE mode mute
SOLO + press Row mutes Toggle LEGATO mode solo
REC ARM + press Row mutes Cue mute/unmute transition at next bar 0 rec_arm
MUTE + REC ARM + press Row mutes Cue DRONE at next bar 0 mute+rec_arm
SOLO + REC ARM + press Row mutes Cue LEGATO at next bar 0 solo+rec_arm

Euclidean fader controls (LC faders, while in trig view)

How to add a Euclidean to a row. Hold 8B and press any step on the target row in the LP grid. That step becomes the row’s rotation point (the pattern’s starting step) and the row picks up a default Euclidean pattern. Then use the three faders below to set density, rotation, and length. To remove the Euclidean from a row, hold 8B and press the same starting step again.

Control P1 / P2 fader Action Modifiers
Density 6 / 14 Pulses in the selected row’s Euclidean pattern (0–length) any
Rotation 7 / 15 Pattern start offset (same as 8B step press) any
Length 8 / 16 Pattern length 1–16 (clamps density/rotation) any

Special case

Gesture Where Action Modifiers
Press row 1 (bottom row, H) Row mutes Boom-TSK toggle: fires a fixed 4-on-the-floor BD (steps 1/5/9/13) + off-beat CH (steps 3/7/11/15) pattern on TR-8; immediately mutes every other row of sequencer 13 (main and alt) and force-unmutes the sequencer. Pressing again clears the patterns and re-mutes row 1. none
