Row Octave (Octave Tree)

Purpose

Program per-row octave movement with two layers:

The octave tree has 8 slots. Each slot lasts for 4 playback steps, so the full RHS pattern covers 32 steps. During playback the engine uses slots 1–4 on even bars and slots 5–8 on odd bars, so the row’s pitch register evolves across the cycle instead of staying at a fixed octave.

Interaction

This view has a deliberate split role:

The sequenced octave values on the RHS are added on top of the base octave from the LHS. Reset/randomise use the pressed row; the row can be selected from the grid or from Row mutes. A row plays at its base octave plus the current slot’s value plus the sequencer octave, each octave being 12 semitones.

Exact LED layout is documented in Octave tree.
