Autodrop

Purpose

A comprehensive, modifier-free manual autodrop surface complementing the LC bottom row: toggle which sequencers are eligible for automatic autodrop cycles, and directly cue mute / CC / note autodrops per sequencer or per TR-8 voice. Autodrops temporarily flip a sequencer/voice’s state and revert automatically at the next timing point.

Interaction

Both LPs of both players show the same layout. Sequencer-cue cells show slate grey when ready, flash the flavour colour when cued (mute = tan, CC = burnt orange, note = yellow), and go solid while the drop is in flight. Eligibility cells (row 8) show the sequencer’s own colour when on.

Note and CC cues on a synth sequencer do not silence anything yet. The cue arms, the LEDs move, and the sequencer keeps playing as though unmuted. TR-8 voices and the master bus do fire real note/CC drops. Automatic cycles only ever mute a synth. See Autodrops.

Shared behaviour

Gesture Where Action Modifiers
Re-press a cued cell (same flavour) LP grid Cancel the cue none
Press a different-flavour row while cued LP grid Replace the cue if the new drop length ≥ existing none

A drop already in flight cannot be cancelled: the engine rejects the press. Rows 1–4 on the LHS, col 8/9 cells, and the boom-tsk/ghost-RS voices are no-ops by design.
